1. Belokurikha, Altai

Issue price: air ticket Moscow - Gorno-Altaisk - 16,000 rubles (round-trip), accommodation in a 2-3 star hotel - from 1,900 rubles per day, ski pass for the day - 500 rubles.

Why come here: Belokurikha is called the Siberian Switzerland for a reason. In terms of the picturesque mountain landscapes and the healing qualities of the Altai air, the resort is almost as good as the citadel of the Alpine peaks. Here, as on the Swiss slopes, there are no sudden changes in temperature, winters - windless and snowy - allow skiing from December to March, and the sun shines longer and more intensely (about 260 days a year) than in the resorts of the Caucasus and Crimea. Belokurikha has seven comfortable and safe trails of varying difficulty with a total length of more than 25 kilometers, three of them (Katun, Altai-West, Severny) are equipped with night illumination. There is a ski school on the territory of the resort, in which almost all instructors are candidates for master of sports in alpine skiing or international class masters.

Pros: well-groomed tracks equipped with artificial snow systems, developed infrastructure with a network of shops, restaurants, equipment rentals, own extreme park with a launch pad, two plastic-coated boxes, a quarter-pipe, jibing rails and several jumps of varying difficulty for snowboarders and advanced skiers. There is also a "baby lift" - a lift for children and beginners.

How to get there: from Gorno-Altaisk - by regular bus (see the schedule and prices). You can fly by plane to Barnaul, and from there take a regular bus to the resorts of Belokurikha (the schedule can be found on the bus station website).

The price of the issue: a bus ticket Moscow - Yaroslavl - from 1400 rubles round-trip, a standard double room in a hotel - from 1150 rubles, a ski pass for six hours - 400 rubles.

Why here: two gentle and simple Shakshi slopes with a height difference of 43 meters are suitable for families and those who are just starting to ski. It also has a good infrastructure designed for kids and teenagers: a baby lift, a tubing track, a children's ski area, sports equipment rental and special training courses for young skiers. Evening skiing is provided by lighting, and on days with little snow, an artificial snowmaking system is turned on. For advanced skiers, there is an additional slope dotted with hillocks and ravines, which is located outside the complex. The length of the slope is 180 meters, the angle of inclination is 24 degrees.

Pros: strong snowboard school, inexpensive coaching services (1000 rubles/hour), 50% discount on equipment and a ski pass for children.

How to get there: from Moscow, from the M8 highway, turn onto the Kostroma highway A113 to the railway crossing, then drive through Lyutovo to the village of Seslavino. Or take a regular bus Moscow - Yaroslavl, and from the Yaroslavl bus station - by bus number 184T.

The price of the issue: a ticket for the Sapsan train - from 1400 rubles, an air ticket Moscow - St. Petersburg - from 4000 rubles, a standard double room in a hotel - 2500 rubles per day, a ski pass for the day - 1100 rubles.

Why here: this ski resort cannot boast of picturesque mountain landscapes, but it has a wide variety of tracks for skiers and snowboarders of various levels of training. In total, the resort has 10 ski slopes with a total length of more than 6 km: three red and four black, the Mogul track - with artificial mounds and jumps, as well as two tracks for beginners. The resort has RedLake Exteme Park with an extreme track and a snowboard park, a ski acrobatics stadium, cross-country skiing and cheesecake tracks. All slopes are equipped with night lighting and an artificial snow system. You can safely come here with small children. Due to the presence of gentle slopes, a baby lift and a strong coaching staff, it is very easy to put a child on skis or a snowboard.

Pros: organization of children's leisure, which includes a children's ski school, a playground and a club, a single ski pass for all lifts, smooth and well-groomed slopes, a strong coaching staff.

How to get there: by bus number K898 from the metro station "Parnas" or by train from the Finlyandsky railway station to Sosnovo. Then - by bus No. 645, 646.

4. White Mountain

The price of the issue: air ticket Moscow - Yekaterinburg - from 10,000 rubles round-trip, a standard double room in a hotel - from 3610 rubles per day, a ski pass for five hours - 800 rubles.

Why here: Belaya Mountain is considered one of the most beautiful in the Middle Urals. It got its name not by chance: for nine months of the year its slopes are covered with snow-white fluffy snow. There are five different trails (two red, two blue, one green) with evening lighting, which are suitable for both beginners and advanced riders. You can stay right in the hotel complex, located on the territory of the ski center. After skiing, people play paintball, snowmobile and skate.

Pros: the mountain slopes are well lit, the tracks work both in the morning and in the evening; good infrastructure, inexpensive group lessons with trainers.

How to get there: by bus No. 113 on the route Nizhny Tagil - Belaya Mountain or by car from Yekaterinburg along the Serov Trakt.

The price of the issue: air ticket Moscow - Arkhangelsk - from 9500 rubles, a standard double room in a hotel - from 1500 rubles per day, ski pass for the day - 1300 rubles.

Why come here: not only beginners and families with children, but also advanced lovers of skiing and snowboarding are increasingly coming to ride on the slopes of the Malinovka ski complex. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, due to the northern location of the center, there is always a stable snow cover on its slopes and the season lasts until the end of April. Secondly, prices in Malinovka are significantly lower than in other resorts. Although the ski area has only two slopes with a total length of 480-520 meters and a height difference of 76-96 meters, for the pros there is a rather interesting red run and a snowboard park with steep peaks - three jumps and figures for jibbing.

Pluses: evening illumination of the slopes, training slope, free cross-country trails in the forest with illumination, tubing park. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, Malinovka offers a wide range of active entertainment: an ice rink, roller ski competitions, snowmobile rides, and outdoor hockey.

How to get there: by regular bus on the route Oktyabrsky - Kostylevo - Kononovskaya - Oktyabrsky or by train to the railway station Kostylevo, and then by taxi to the tourist base "Malinovka".

Issue price: air ticket Moscow - Ufa - from 6,000 rubles (round trip), a hotel room - from 1,000 rubles per day, a ski pass for six hours - 600 rubles.

Why here: Zavyalikha is located in the Southern Urals, near the village of Trekhgorny, Chelyabinsk Region, and includes 10 well-prepared slopes of varying difficulty (three are FIS certified and illuminated) with a height difference of 150-430 meters and a length of 2200-2980 meters. On the territory of the complex there is an extreme snow park for desperate skiers and snowboarders, there is a BOARD-cross track and five lifts, including the only six-seater chair lift in Russia. There are also children's and educational tracks and a cross-country ski track with a total length of 15 km. Once a year, Zavyalikha becomes the venue for competitions for the Russian Cup in snowboarding.

Pros: comfortable lifts that have a high throughput, which eliminates queues, a ski school, infrastructure for kids, including a baby lift, ski courses and a children's track.

How to get there: by car from Ufa along the federal highway Moscow - Ufa - Chelyabinsk or by train Ufa - Chelyabinsk to Vyazovaya station. From there - by taxi or regular bus number 113.

Issue price: air ticket Moscow - Petrozavodsk - 10,000 rubles (round-trip), a hotel in Petrozavodsk - from 1,200 rubles per day, renting a house in the village of Pinguba, which is located as close as possible to the ski slopes - from 3,500 rubles per day, ski pass for 4 hours - 500 rubles.

Why here: the Karelian resort of Yalgora, opened in 2013, is not yet very popular among Russian skiers. For this reason, there are practically no crowds here, housing is cheaper, and the tracks are smooth and free. Another attractive feature of Yalgora, located on the coast of Lake Onega, is the unique terrain, which is often compared with Kamchatka. The resort has three slopes of varying difficulty with a height difference of up to 100 meters, red and black slopes, a training slope for beginners and children, a ski slope, chair and tape (for beginners) lifts, a rental office, a ski and children's sports school.

Pros: the ability to combine skiing with visiting attractions such as the island of Suysari and Kizhi, the Kivach waterfall, the abandoned village of Pegrema. Other important advantages of Yalgora are a long skiing season (from November to April), long slopes and gentle slopes that are ideal for skiers and snowboarders of any level of training, a strong coaching staff.

How to get there: by train or plane to Petrozavodsk, and then by car or taxi, along the Solomenskoye highway, through the pontoon bridge and the village of Pinguba.

Issue price: double room in a hotel - from 2000 rubles per day, ski pass for the day - 700 rubles.

Why come here: Yakhroma is a popular ski resort in the Moscow region, which is located 46 kilometers from the capital. It is equipped with four slopes that allow comfortable skiing not only for beginners, but also for experienced skiers. For children and beginner skiers, a training track is suitable, and those who are confident on skis or a board will like tracks 3A and 3B with a fairly strong drop in the upper part of the slope and a smooth roll-out. These tracks host slalom competitions, including the Russian Cup. Off-piste skiing here is also quite interesting: track 4B (“Forest”) is suitable for skiers and snowboarders with a high level of training.

Pros: pistes illuminated at night, a good ski school for children and adults, many pistes oriented to any level of training, developed entertainment and sports infrastructure.

How to get there: by car along Dmitrovsky highway, by train - from Savelovsky railway station to Yakhroma station, then by minibus.

Issue price: air ticket Moscow - Mineralnye Vody - from 6000 rubles (round-trip), standard double room - from 1500 rubles per day, ski pass for the day - 1400 rubles.

Why here: 12 tracks of Dombai (five of them are the main ones) with a total length of 25 kilometers are suitable for skiers and snowboarders of any level of training. The upper part of the southwestern slope of Mount Mussa-Achitara is good for beginners and lovers of calm skiing. Pros should choose the lower part of the slope, where there are several red and black runs with sharp drops and uneven terrain. Fans of virgin skiing will appreciate several off-piste routes on the northern slope with a trip to the Gonachkhir gorge or the Teberda-Dombai track and a heli-ski service. The resort has a ski school for adults (children's ski courses are provided) and a rental shop.

Pros: clean mountain air, an extensive excursion program in the vicinity of Dombai Polyana, well-prepared and planned trails, developed infrastructure.

How to get there: by plane to Mineralnye Vody, and then from the airport - by taxi or by bus (see the schedule) to Dombai Polyana. The resort can be reached by train Moscow - Mineralnye Vody or by regular bus from Moscow.

10. Krasnaya Polyana, Sochi

Issue price: air ticket Moscow - Sochi - from 5500 rubles round-trip, hotel room - from 1500 rubles per day, ski pass for the day - 1800 rubles. For those who prefer to travel by train, Russian Railways offers a special New Year's Skier fare, which includes free luggage and any winter equipment. Prices start from 4999 rubles for a ticket in a compartment on the route Moscow - Adler.

Why here: this is one of the best ski resorts in Russia. People come here to look at the Olympic legacy and try out a variety of well-prepared tracks. It should be understood that Krasnaya Polyana is a collective resort. It consists of three ski resorts (Gornaya Karusel, GTZ Gazprom and Rosa Khutor), each of which has its own audience. The most respectable is the year-round resort "Rosa Khutor" with a developed infrastructure, chain hotels and a large selection of trails aimed at both beginners and experienced riders. Another nice feature of Rosa Khutor is the extreme park, where the stages of the World and European Cups in snowboarding and freestyle were held. A single ski pass allows you to ski at any of the three resorts.

Pros: modern ski slopes of various difficulty levels, new ski lifts, hotels and hotel complexes for every taste, a large selection of après-ski entertainment, the Egorka kids club, international-level ski schools with instructors from Russia, France, Austria, Switzerland.

How to get there: from Sochi / Adler by high-speed train "Lastochka".

Issue price: air ticket Moscow - Ufa - from 8000 rubles (round-trip), a standard double room in a hotel - from 1500 rubles, a ski pass for three hours - 600-750 rubles.

Why here: today Abzakovo is one of the most well-equipped ski resorts not only in the Urals, but also in Russia. There are 15 pistes of varying difficulty - red, green and blue - with a total length of more than 18 kilometers. And there is also a children's slope with a minimum slope, a snowpark with a half-pipe and four tracks for slalom and giant slalom, which are certified by the international organization FIS. All trails are equipped with night lighting and artificial snow systems.

Pros: inexpensive service and accommodation, a number of easier trails that are suitable for families, the longest ski season in the Urals - from November to May, developed infrastructure, additional cross-country skiing trails, a large selection of après-ski entertainment.

How to get there: on the branded train Moscow - Magnitogorsk No. 094U or fly to Ufa, and then transfer to the Ufa - Sibay train or car.

12. Khibiny, Murmansk

Issue price: air ticket Moscow - Murmansk - 7000 rubles, renting an apartment - from 1500 rubles per day, ski pass for the day - 1100 rubles.

Why come here: Khibiny is one of the oldest ski resorts with the most picturesque and interesting slopes in Russia. It consists of four ski areas (Northern Slope, Kukisvumchorr, Big Wood, Kolasportland) and a snow park. Most of them are designed for advanced skiers and freeride enthusiasts. However, there are also green trails and training slopes in the Khibiny. There is also a mogul slope, freestyle jumps, 70- and 90-meter jump jumps, an ice rink, a 14-kilometer flat track and a ski stadium. An important advantage of the Khibiny is the long ski season, which lasts until the end of spring. On some slopes, snow lies all year round.

Pros: the amazing nature of the Kola Peninsula, the opportunity to see the northern lights (if you go in December), trails for various categories of skiers, the duration and abundance of snow cover, reasonable prices for housing and services.

Issue price: air ticket Moscow - Novokuznetsk - from 15,000 rubles (round-trip), a standard double room in a hotel - from 1,000 rubles per day, a ski pass for a day - from 500 rubles.

Why here: the ski complex has 14 pistes (two green, four blue, six red and two black) with a total length of 3900 meters. All tracks comply with the international FIS standard. Various competitions are regularly held here - for example, a stage of the Russian championship in alpine skiing and snowboarding. In Sheregesh there are slopes of any degree of difficulty - from training to high-speed ones. Usually, pros conquer the upper part of the slope of Mount Zelenaya, where there are black and red slopes, and beginners run around the slopes of Medvezhonok Mountain. For children in Sheregesh there is a ski school and ski nursery "Tumbler".

In addition, Sheregesh is a great place for freeride lovers. Active off-piste skiing is facilitated by dry, “flying” snow, abundant snow cover, the thickness of which reaches 120 cm, and a very long ski season - from November to May. For freeriders, the resort offers heli-skiing and heli-boarding services: transfers to the starting point by snowmobiles, helicopter or on foot. The only drawback for fans of off-piste skiing is the lack of a general ski pass for the lifts, so you will either have to choose or buy single lifts.

Pros: a large selection of trails (some have night lighting), guaranteed snow cover, highly qualified instructors. The complex is suitable for those who want to ski for the first time. This is facilitated by convenient training trails, gentle slopes and drag lifts. Skiing can be diluted with a visit to the spa, ice rink, restaurants and karaoke bar.

Many Russian citizens believed that for bright winter impressions one should go to the Alps. But the 2014 Olympics reminded outdoor enthusiasts that there are places in our country that deserve attention. There are more than 200 ski centers in Russia. Their service is provided by entire villages and cities. Our article will tell you where they are, as well as introduce you to the features and attractions of the largest of them.

Where to go to the ski resort

There are really many of them in our country. They are located not only in Sochi, but also in the Caucasus, the Urals and even in the center of the country. We will talk about the three most interesting locations.

Rosa Khutor is the youngest and most modern complex in Russia

It is located in the south of the country, in the village of Estosadok in the city of Sochi. Foreigners call it Russian Switzerland. Modernization here began before the Olympics and continues to this day. Tourists claim that the local level of service is not inferior to the best European resorts. The mountain space is equipped not only for winter leisure, but also for summer holidays. There are three ways to get here:

  1. By private car. Keep in mind that you will have to drive along the “serpentine”, so analyze in advance whether your driving skills will allow you to get here without unpleasant incidents.
  2. By bus from the main Sochi airport. You need #105. During the day he goes often, and you do not have to wait long. In two hours you will arrive at your destination.
  3. By train from Sochi. Railway transport with the cozy name "Swallow" will take you to the station of the first tier.

The territory is conditionally divided into "Valley" (lowland) and "Plateau" (at an altitude of 1170m). The cable car operates everywhere. There are lifts of open and closed types. Some are open all year round, while others are open seasonally. If you stay on the second level, in the Olympic Village, you get an unlimited ski pass free of charge. You can go up and down the funicular whenever you want. In other cases, you will have to lay out a certain amount each time.

One day of full skiing costs about 3,000 thousand rubles. At the beginning and end of the season, the price may decrease. For children there is a system of discounts. Evening ski trips are cheaper: 1,250 rubles each. The total cost depends on the time at which you decide to visit these places, as well as on the number of days. If we take the amount for five days, then in different periods it can vary from 6,000 to 11,000 thousand rubles per person.

The active holiday season in this ski resort begins in December and ends in May. Its duration is due to the fact that modern equipment responsible for artificial snowmaking has been installed everywhere at Rosa Khutor. Tourists should not be afraid of avalanches, as special equipment prevents the accumulation of snow masses, exploding them at night when guests are sleeping.

For a comfortable stay in the mountains, stock up on comfortable and stylish winter clothing that will allow you to enjoy skiing even in the most frosty weather. The Stayer company offers to purchase adult and children's winter equipment at an affordable price. Our products are not inferior to the promoted European brands in quality, but please customers with an acceptable cost. We are an official partner of the Russian Freestyle Federation and the winner of the "Best Sports Product of the Year" award. In our things you will not get wet or freeze, it will protect you from falls and will delight you with a bright, unusual design. We follow the latest fashion collections and offer the most modern models. Glued zippers and the absence of chemical elements in the composition make our products not only wear-resistant, but also absolutely harmless. In our jackets, parks, down jackets you can conquer the track of any complexity, and in Rosa Khutor there are more than 40 of them.

Some of them are closed for your safety due to bad weather, but under favorable weather conditions they all function. There are those that even a child can conquer, and some are available only to real professionals who have devoted more than one year of their lives to skiing. We are attaching the map of the resort. At Rosa Khutor, the European system for classifying trails is adopted - by color.

  1. Green roads are the simplest, they are almost straight, without sharp breaks. They are good for children and women who are not very confident on skis or snowboards.
  2. Blue - winding, curly, similar to mountain serpentine, but gentle.
  3. Red ones are characterized by the steepness of the slopes.
  4. Black - only for experienced athletes.

Last season, the administration solemnly launched a new ski area on the southern side of the ridge, bordering Abkhazia.

The highest point in this area is Rose Peak. Its height is 2320 meters. You can go down from here on your own. There are blue trails from the mountain. The descent will not be difficult, but it will give a lot of impressions. If you don't want to risk it, take the cable car upstairs and enjoy the view of the Alpine meadows.

You can use the services of an instructor, rent any sports equipment, learn to freeride - riding on wild, unequipped terrain, go on a ski tour, most importantly, have enough funds. The service here is European, but the prices are Russian, so calculate the budget in advance. Family tuition is offered at a discount.

Bolshoy Vudyavr is the main ski resort in the north-west of Russia

It is located in the city of Kirovsk, Murmansk region. You can arrive by train to the city of Apatity or fly by plane. From there, you will reach your destination in 20 minutes by public transport or taxi. Big Woodyavr is divided into two ski areas:

The first reflects the Russian saying "from one extreme to another". These are either very difficult tracks, highlighted in black, or very simple. Do not look for the golden mean, it simply does not exist.

The second is traditional. Combines all types of tracks.

Both areas are connected by a gondola lift. To look down from the top of the mountain with the name Aikuaivenchorr, which is unusual for the Russian ear, use the chair lift.

The northern regions guarantee you a long season of outdoor activities. At the ski resorts of Russia, it begins in November and ends only by June.

There are 45 tracks in Woodyavr. The longest of them is 2.5 km. The height difference reaches 550 m. 18 routes are illuminated, so when the polar night comes, the resort does not stop working. Tourists visiting it during this time can see the northern lights.

The abundance of snow makes it possible to ride everywhere. If you want to "rip off the powder" by laying the track yourself, rent a snowmobile and go to any place you like. Remember to take precautions, as avalanches often come down here. Before you go alone to the mountains, stock up on special equipment, a walkie-talkie and find out the contact details of the rescuers.

If you want thrills, head to Mount Kukisvumchorr. It is not included in the Woodyavra zone and is located 25 km from the main settlement. There tourists can try a real freeride. You can also visit the "Kolasportland" or "city slope" complex, located directly in the city.

The resort has a snow park. If you have never skied, go to the training slope. The instructor conducts classes away from other tourists. We recommend booking a place a day in advance, since there are many people who want to, and there are few working hours, only 6 hours. For those who want to feel like professionals, the ski center offers individual training on a sports slalom track. The price of one lesson is 1500 per hour. If it's too expensive, ask to try out the markup. It costs only 200 rubles.

Prices for skiing at Woodyavr are two times cheaper than at Rosa Khutor. Children under 5 and pensioners over 5 are free. A standard ski pass will cost one and a half thousand rubles per day for one adult and 1000 for a children's ticket and an option for the elderly. A subscription will cost less than one-time skating.

Resort "Arkhyz" in Karachay-Cherkessia

The road will be long

  1. Buy a plane ticket to Mineralnye Vody.
  2. Take a taxi or take a bus that will take you to the transport hub in the village of Arkhyz.
  3. Transfer to the bus to the end point.

Arriving at your destination, you will see a small ski resort. There are only nine slopes, but there are all colors and they are long, almost 14 km each. The area is well equipped. There are artificial snowmakers, snow groomers, there are three lifts, but the administration plans global modernization.

Perhaps professional athletes will be bored here. There are only three forest trails and they are short. But for beginners who want to master skiing, this is a great option. In 2016, Arkhyz was recognized as the best young resort in Russia.

In these places is the highest mountain. It is called Abishira-Akhuba. Its peak reaches 3170 m. However, athletes are not allowed to climb the peak itself, it is not equipped enough for descent. The border of the ski area runs at around 2200 meters.

But the season here is the shortest, only three months, from January to March. The ideal time for skiing is February. Professional skiers claim that it is in the last month of winter that Arkhyz has the best snow.

If "Rosa Khutor" is the most expensive option, and "Vudyavr" is the most budgetary, then in Arkhyz the cost of skiing is average. The price on weekdays and weekends differs by 300 rubles. The average value is 1,600 for the day and 900 for the evening.

It is planned that more than 2 kilometers of the track and the stadium of the complex will be covered with artificial snow.
