The enterprising son had special ideas about how to use his father's loud surname. With a secondary special education, Yuri did not burden himself with socially useful work. But it was necessary to live somehow, and the BMW demanded gasoline ...Having settled in the apartment of his friend on Chkalov Street (Selmash microdistrict), Yuri Andreevich engaged in very unseemly deeds. Hiding behind the names of criminal authorities known in Rostov, he began to extort money from businessmen. So, with the help of an accomplice, he brought one “client” to an apartment on Chkalov Street. He kept him there for two days - beating and demanding dollars. For greater intimidation, he presented a birth certificate, hinting at daddy's genes: they say, "And I don't care about anything" ... The real authorities learned about the stormy activity on their site of the newly-minted colleague - the very ones on whose behalf Chikatilo Jr. presented himself. The massacre was short and quick: disregarding the merits of the "illustrious" father, they took away the BMW from Yuri Andreevich, and he himself was "sent" to the emergency hospital with multiple bodily injuries. Chikatilo Jr., however, did not calm down even then. Deciding that he was “set up” by the owner of the apartment where he lived, Yuri Andreevich gave him an “account”: ten thousand dollars or ... Here the famous birth certificate came into play again. At this stage, law enforcement agencies intervened in the course of events. Yuri had to poison himself on the bunk of the temporary detention center. He proudly confirmed to the astonished detectives that he was the son of “the very same” Chikatilo, but refused to testify further, citing poor health. But Article 148 of the Criminal Code (extortion) was not the only one in the charge. A few days after the start of the investigation, Odnachev's case was unexpectedly supplemented by a statement from a student of the Rostov State Academy of Civil Engineering that Odnachev had tried to rape her in March. The first session of the Pervomaisky District Court took place on January 5, 1997. Yuri's mother came to him from Ukraine, in the recent past - the wife of Andrei Chikatilo. The day before, Feodosia Semyonovna sent a statement to the city prosecutor's office of Rostov with a request to bring to justice journalists who slandered her son. After that, Theodosia regained her maiden name. However, this did not save her or her son. The city knew very well who they were. From morning to night, inscriptions with curses and threats appeared on their mailbox.

Theodosia then worked as the head of a kindergarten. Of course, she had to leave her post. She and Yuri moved to Kharkov. There, the woman began to trade in the market and took care of her grandchildren, her daughter's children. Feodosia died in 2005.

Chikatilo's daughter, Lyudmila, refuses to talk about her father to this day. She replies to all questions that she has not had it for a long time.

But the son ... Apparently, her heredity still took her. Yuri has been repeatedly convicted. Four times.

The first chosen one of the son of Chikatilo could not stand such a life. They broke up. After some time, he began to court a girl who works as a doctor. And to look after, by the way, is very beautiful. Flowers, sweets, ardent confessions ... And I began to call my mother-in-law a potential mother. And she is only happy - shortly before that, her son died.

But the father of his new passion did not really believe in the newly-made "son-in-law". He reminded him very much of a swindler. Then he cried, then he fell on his knees - somehow unnaturally.

Whose son this was, the girl's parents did not know. As, however, and she herself. But the truth eventually came out. Thanks to an interview that Yuri was asked to give on television. The man, according to the father of the new common-law wife, immediately began to ask for forgiveness from everyone. He claimed that he was not like his father. Mom and daughter took pity on him. Slivko imitated the shooting of "adventure films" associated with both imitation and direct violence, and those who refused to "act in films" were threatened with expulsion from the club.

The maniac dressed the boys in pioneer uniforms, stretched them on ropes, hung them on a tree, observed torment and convulsions, after which he carried out resuscitation. The surviving boys either did not remember what happened or were afraid to talk about it. Those who dared to tell adults about this were simply not believed: the honored teacher and disinterested educator of difficult teenagers enjoyed the love and respect of the townspeople. And he abused children for years. In total, at least 43 children became its victims.

At the same time, the maniac's wife never came to the club, did not communicate with anyone, never went hiking with the guys. Why? After all, the couple grew up two boys. What is the reason for the reluctance to somehow pay attention to what the husband is doing?

Unfortunately, no one has an answer to this question. After the arrest of the maniac, Lyudmila Slivko simply did not believe the investigators, but after she was shown the terrible video archive of her husband, she had to believe. After the trial and execution, Lyudmila and the children moved to another city, their traces were lost. But until the last, the maniac's wife claimed that she did not know about anything.

The wife of the Angarsk maniac Mikhail Popkov, who killed at least 22 girls

In March of this year, the investigation accused the maniac Mikhail Popkov of killing 60 more women - not counting 22 proven murders. Angarsk maniac killed mostly young, overweight girls. Almost all, except for one victim, were drunk at that moment, which the maniac used: first he raped the victim, and then killed, inflicting multiple wounds. The maniac killed women between 1992 and 2012. And all this time he was married.

While serving in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Popkov beat a man who was brought to the department in a state of extreme intoxication. The women who were killed by the maniac, in his opinion, were unworthy to live:

At the same time, the maniac's wife believed to the last that he was innocent. On the air of the “Let them talk” program, Elena stated that her husband could not be the killer in any way - despite the fact that most of the episodes of the case had already been proven.

- Me and my father, consider, were rowed at the same time, in the 90th year. Only me a little earlier than him, - the son of Chikatilo tells me. - I came from the army, got involved with a bad company. Well, they robbed the Vietnamese with the boys. They stole the bags, not really knowing what we were carrying. Mom sold her gold, bought me back somehow. They gave me two years probation. On November 20, 1990, the bloody rope broke, on which Andrei Chikatilo “hung” 53 victims in ten years ... Together with the arrest of his father, the life of his loved ones changed. Married daughter Lyudmila, 21-year-old son Yurka and their mother Feodosia Semyonovna (nee Odnacheva) suddenly clearly realized that they were related to Satan himself.

Drive money, I'm Chikatilo!

“But wasn’t he beaten to death in prison, because he was showing off his origins?”, “Yes, this scumbag killed someone too!” - rumors about the son of Chikatilo, who appeared under his mother's maiden name, came from various authorities. Rumors, we note, not groundless. Yuri Odnachev really stepped on a slippery slope and committed several daring crimes.
“The family of Andrei Romanovich sold an apartment in Novocherkassk and moved to Kharkov,” says Amurkhan Yandiev, an investigator in the case of Chikatilo Sr., who maintained relations with the maniac’s family. - And suddenly, six years after the arrest of her husband, Feodosia Semyonovna, who has become fairly gray-haired, comes to me and asks for help: "My Yurka, a fool, got into trouble ...". And her son, it should be noted, she was afraid and justified. And he bristled at his mother: “There is no life from you!”. Poverty made him a wolf cub, and after the news of his father, he closed himself off from everyone even more. He still doesn't have a stem. I think it is only due to the fact that the authorities are watching him that he still has not completely become like his father ...

1996 A "black boomer" rolled along a rural road near the town of Shakhty. Yuri drove him from Kharkov to visit his school friends. As a result, they all immediately united in a brigade.
“Odnachev went around the trading stalls and was engaged in racketeering,” says Yury Filimonov, a former employee of the Pervomaisky District Department of Internal Affairs of Rostov-on-Don. - At the same time, he proudly stuck a birth certificate under the nose of the sellers, where it was indicated that his father was Andrei Romanovich Chikatilo. And once a beaten girl turned to us at the department. And she said that Odnachev lured her to a house that he rented in Rostov, and kept her there for a day, persuading her to have sex. He told all sorts of horrors about his perverted father: “Don’t you know that dad cut out the genitals of all those who were killed and ate them?” The hostage managed to escape when he left the house. True, then she suddenly withdrew her application. With a remark: "Because I forgave."

According to the verdict, a copy of which was given to the MK reporter in the Proletarsky Court of Rostov, in 1996 Yuri was convicted of extortion for two years: he threatened a businessman named Zhabin with reprisals against his relatives and demanded that the apartment be rewritten to him: “Remember how you did with your my father's victims?" - scared scumbag. During the search, two fake passports were also found among his belongings.
“Oh, cormorant, we were still with your dad sidekick!” - came an enthusiastic cry from the retractable "feeding troughs" in the doors of the cells, when the shaved Yuri was led along the corridor of the Novocherkassk detention center. Was it by chance that his apartment was next to the former father's? It is believed that Chikatilo's death sentence was carried out within these walls.

Chikatilo Sr. behaved quietly in custody. The son is not responsible for the father

Yuri was not at all like his father. An outstanding, more than once broken nose, all the features are somehow pointed ... Only deep-set eyes remind of his father, which Odnachev, having agreed to be photographed, hid behind his glasses. The wrinkled face, the limp chin and the capricious crease under the lower lip were inherited by Sister Lyudmila. Who is ready to give everything so that the mirror does not so often show her the image of a “poor relative”: she even thought about plastic surgery ... But she found out the price and calmed down.
- The son is not responsible for the father - they live in prison according to such an unspoken law, - Yuri gives out the alignment. “Your dad is just a sick man, but we respected him,” the prisoners told me. Although in the zone of rapists and murderers children are not favored.
When Chikatilo Jr. learned from me that the Bitsevsky maniac, recently caught in Moscow, dreamed of surpassing his father, Yuri’s face lights up with cheerful pride: “What, did you just say that?”

Yuri married a second time a year ago. The first wife Natasha accepted him along with the past. The way it is. She was not afraid to give birth to a child from the son of a maniac. For two years she regularly went on dates to him, believing that her chosen one simply stumbled.
- In the dungeons, I changed my mind a lot. About myself, about my father ... That I will become a respectable family man. What was dad like ... But as soon as he took a sip of freedom, everything started spinning again ...

“Just like Chikatilo Sr., Odnachev got away with a lot,” says Oleg Lavrov, a former employee of the Pervomaisky police department. - Andrey Romanovich after the first murder (for which an innocent person was accused and executed) came to the attention of the police. And they caught him only ten years later. And Yuri did not answer for half of what he had done, otherwise he probably would have been in jail until now. After all, in Ukraine, he was also on the federal wanted list when he got here for a second term. For example, a situation: a truck loaded with glass stalled at a trucker. Yuri was driving by, offered to help, and he himself pushed the peasant into the car and took him to some barn. The driver woke up tied to a chair from the fact that Odnachev stuck a knife in his side: he asked to transfer the property from the truck to him, which did not even belong to the poor fellow. He agreed to everything, and after leaving the hospital he took our application from us - he was so afraid for his family after he read the birth certificate of Odnachev.

I found the contacts of the “victims” of Chikatilo’s son, but they refused to comment on anything: “We don’t want to contact him.”
1998 Meanwhile, the criminal relapse four months after the release of Yuri Odnachev is striking in its absurdity: “I took a radio tape recorder from a friend’s apartment at a price of 500 rubles, a carpet and a service for 850 rubles,” comments Yulia Orlova, head of the press service of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Rostov Region. - This seemed not enough to him - on the way back he went to the store and, taking advantage of the seller's absence, took a bottle of vodka, a bottle of wine, cigarettes, a coffee pot of their internal use for a total of 112 rubles ... “My wife and all my friends turned their backs on me after that,” Odnachev complains. - They could not understand: maybe my genes started to play ... After the KGB officers took my dad from me, I began to hate the cops. And when his wife left, he wanted to take revenge on women. For entertainment, he advertised that a handsome prisoner wanted to meet ...

Olga, a stout 30-year-old woman with a ruddy, kind face and an unsuccessful personal life, responded to this call and did not miss a single date for two years. Opening her mouth, she listened in fascination about whose offspring this son of a bitch was. And he freed himself, promised to call and disappeared: “She is fat. And I don’t like those,” Yuri explains.

2004, 37-year-old Odnachev started life again from scratch. For the past two years he has been trying to promote his own business:
- I took a loan from a bank, recruited people. Opened a construction company. And I went uphill ... I met a good woman. But my father and I still managed to greatly excite my mother. Shortly after my release, she had three heart attacks in succession...

Love till death

“Dear Fenya, in vain I didn’t listen to you ... You told me that I needed to be treated. And I balked. Shyness did not allow me to tell someone about my sexual weakness, ”the maniac killer Andrei Chikatilo wrote to his beloved wife in jumping handwriting in the dungeons. The operatives answered these letters for the spouse in a tone of forgiveness so that he would not close himself off from the whole world. Feodosia Semyonovna did not want to communicate with her ex-husband, even in epistolary reality.

“My mother and I did not believe that my father could do everything that was hung up on him,” says Yuri Odnachev. He was very weak physically and mentally. For example, my mother once bought a live chicken in the market, it was required to cut off her head. Father was given an ax in his hands (which later went through his case) - he was going for a long time, but he hit so uncertainly that he didn’t even break his back.

... A bookcase littered with voluminous blue-bound notebooks. The Chikatilo case occupies 220 volumes in the archives of the Rostov Regional Court. Folder number 51 could be titled "A love story from interrogations of the Chikatilo spouses."
They met in Novoshakhtinsk visiting Andrey's sister Maria Belousova of such and such a year of birth ... A modest stooped student of a pedagogical university and a strong, ugly woman ended up at the same table. Next to the fidgety, fragile girls, Andrey blushed and painfully squeezed. But here, there is nothing of the kind. It's like talking to a nightstand. The Theodosia sisters started a family a long time ago - it was her turn. So Andrey Chikatilo and Theodosia Odnacheva got married in a month and a half.

“On the wedding night, I immediately felt sexual weakness in my husband. Which I attributed to excitement, ”Feodosia Chikatilo confessed to investigators. In the future, the wife sometimes could not stand it and shouted out in dissatisfaction: “Am I living with a wall?”. To which the humiliated husband snapped: “She got fat ... Give her a stallion.”

They lived together for 27 years. Feodosia Semyonovna told me: “It’s good if we had intimacy at least as many times.” To get an orgasm, he needed something harder. Someone's death... - explains the former investigator Amurkhan Yandiev. - When the children appeared, dissatisfaction subsided. But Theodosius had to try herself to get pregnant from Chikatilo.
Seryozha's first child died at eight months. Andrei Romanovich was very worried: he wanted many children. And after the birth of his daughter and son, he demanded that his wife procreate.

“But then I had abortions all the time - why do we need extra mouths? Andrey reproached me, immediately repeated as if: "Doctors tore my children!" Isn't that why he took revenge on the boys and girls who managed to be born and grow up?
- My father spent time with me - went fishing, played football. As a champion, he developed a strategy in chess - such was his mindset. At the age of 16, without asking, I took my father's Moskvich. And, of course, immediately broke. So he didn’t even scold, he put family relationships above money, says Yuri Odnachev. - And I see my son, I try to imitate my father ...

Andrei Romanovich, in general, was a homely person - after business trips he even attached bus tickets to the reporting sheet in order to win an extra penny. When Feodosia Semyonovna was ill, he sat at her bedside. When he came with a bitten finger of his hand after a fight with his latest victim (he said that he had injured himself while loading boxes at work), she carefully rubbed his back with a washcloth. If he left for a long time on his bloody deeds under the guise of business trips, she was worried: “They will someday kill you in these trains!” Love is not love, but over the years, the Chikatilo spouses have become attached to each other.

“Feodosia Semyonovna believed that her husband could not kill children because he loved them very much,” continues investigator Amurkhan Yandiev. - Once Chikatilo, on the way from a business trip, drove home to his daughter and brought his little grandson to visit him. "Who's going to babysit him here?" the wife asked. In response, the maniac remarked: "What a heartless you are" ...
The murderer's wife did not take into account that the same night the grandfather crawled up to his grandson and squeezed him. But after this incident, daughter Lyudmila renounced her father in advance in order to protect her child. Yes, and rumors that the husband was expelled from work in boarding schools twice for molesting children reached his wife.

- Feodosia Semyonovna was the head of the family and kept everything under control. Her husband was afraid of her to hell - after all, she could also move away from him on the head, - says Yandiev. - Theodosius has long come to terms with the fact that her husband is a pervert. But the fact that he hid from everyone for so long led her into a state of shock. In order for Feodosia Semenovna to believe, we had to turn on a video cassette for her, where Chikatilo shows the burial place of his last victim. When a small blue sneaker peeked out from under the shovel, Feodosia Semyonovna said without unnecessary emotions: “I understood everything” ...

“The father’s body was never given to us”

- I was able to read my father's case just recently, - says Yuri Odnachev. - It turns out that he and his lawyer wrote appeals to the court, asking to appeal the verdict. Those weren't even considered. I learned from the newspapers that my father had been shot. Moreover, the dates of execution were indicated everywhere different. We were never given a death certificate, and when I called the colony to pick up my father's body, they answered me with a laugh: "His brain was sold to Japan." Mom had a last date with her father. They didn't even let me say goodbye to him...
When Feodosia Semyonovna, with a bloodless face, entered the meeting room, the traitor-murderer pressed against the wall for a second, but remembering that they had promised not to scold him, he rushed to the feet of the woman whom he had been deceiving for 27 years. He sank into his knees. He did not deny his deeds, he only made excuses: “In vain, in vain I didn’t get treated ... You told me ... In vain ...”. She didn't say a word during the entire meeting. In the end, she simply turned to her husband with a wide, like a wall, back and merged with the doorway ...

Despite the imperturbability of the investigators, Feodosia Semyonovna gave vent to her feelings at home: she cried and burned old photographs. Moreover, relatives took up arms - her brother Joseph was expelled from work at the mine, having learned that he was related to a maniac. Before departing for Kharkov, Theodosia again took her maiden name. As if she could return to the times before she met the name Chikatilo.
- In Kharkov, my mother found a job as a distributor in the local market, - says Odnachev. - I didn’t want to arrange my personal life anymore, I nursed Lyudka’s children: “I lived mine,” she said. My sister and her first husband were also unlucky - he was a military man and went crazy while on guard. But then Lyudmila got married again, gave birth to a sister ... Of course, it’s bad that our children have so much schizophrenia in their genes from all sides.

They try not to talk about Chikatilo in the Odnachev family. Feodosia Semyonovna, even through dreams, did not communicate with her ex-husband. But another stranger with pitiful tear-stained eyes used to come to her in oblivion. Or children in white overalls dream. Otherwise, during work, it’s as if a reproachful look will prick from the market crowd ...

The killer was shot, and his guilt remained on the ground ... She had to cover someone, like a blanket.
"You won't kill anyone, will you?" - the ex-wife of the maniac looked frightened into the eyes of her son shortly before her death. Not knowing that her husband said the same thing before he met the bullet: "I pray to God that people like me will not be born again."
Perhaps Andrei Chikatilo asked for the salvation of the souls of his own descendants.
